My stay at Torre de Maneys was a unique experience that transported me to a different era, set in the charming town of Óbidos. The medieval stone residence exuded history and character, making it a standout choice for those seeking a truly immersive stay. The room's original features coupled with modern amenities like the modern shower and toilette provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring.While the lack of on-site parking may be a setback for some, the convenient nearby free parking lot mitigated this inconvenience. The complimentary afternoon port wine added a touch of luxury to the experience, and the breakfast spread was delightful with a variety of fresh breads, cakes, and fruit.Although lacking in certain modern conveniences like flat-screen TVs or air conditioning, the authentic medieval furnishings and décor more than made up for it. The friendly hosts and the serene ambiance of the terrace and garden furniture made for a relaxing stay. However, the absence of air conditioning might be a drawback for those visiting during the warmer months. The availability of Wi-Fi and free toiletries added a touch of convenience to the stay.In terms of luxury versus value, Torre de Maneys strikes a balance catering more towards guests seeking a historic and unique accommodation experience rather than modern luxurious amenities.
